Hot Take was a collaborative bookmaking project made by students in the 2017 Bookmaking course at the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning. Conceptualized as a “hot take” on contemporary art and culture, content ranges from art market critique and confusion with the perceived irrelevance of modern art, to internet-age caricatures and pop culture parodies.

Hot Take was entirely student designed, risograph printed, and hand bound as one edition of 120.
